Johan Hemelaere
As the founder of Horatius Capital Partners, Johan Hemelaere was accredited as an asset manager by the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) in 1991. After a fifteen-year career as a sales manager in the medical sector, he undertook voluntary and unpaid work at the highly regarded Amsterdam-based securities bank Stroeve, where he specialized in portfolio management.
Inspired by this experience, he began his own asset management in the same year. With thorough knowledge, years of experience, and continuous education, Johan Hemelaere has further developed his career as a value investor since 1987.
Lana Hemelaere
Lana Hemelaere, daughter of Johan Hemelaere, officially joined Horatius Capital Partners in September 2022 after having been in charge of the legal department and the investor relations department of a boutique private equity fund in London for two years.
Lana obtained two master’s degrees in tax law, one from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and another from Queen Mary University of London. In addition, she successfully completed two extra courses, one in Real Estate & Finance at the London School of Economics and another in Value Investing at Berkley University.
Geert Verdruye
Geert Verdruye is a senior private banker in an important asset management company in Luxembourg (Patrimundi). Geert has more than 30 years of experience in asset management at various private banks. Geert started his career at BNP Paribas and became vice president at Quilvest. He is also a board member in several AIFs in Luxembourg and has been accredited as a "Certified Director" by GUBERNA Institute for Administrators.
Johan Speecke
Since 1992, Johan Speecke has been a tax lawyer (specialised in procedure) and he currently is a senior director at Deloitte Legal. In addition, Johan Speecke is a professor in fiscal procedure at Ghent University and Fiscale Hogeschool (FHS). Johan has written numerous articles as well as a book about various aspects and implications of tax law.

Olivier de Jamblinne de Meux
Olivier de Jamblinne is banker since 1990. He has worked in Geneva, London, Guernsey and, since 1987, in Luxembourg.
After having been during 16 years Asset Manager for private clients, CEO of Banque Puilaetco Luxembourg S.A. and partner of its mother company (Banque Puilaetco S.C.S. - the last Belgian Bank with unlimited partnership status), he was appointed General Manager Wealth Management of KBL European Private Bankers S.A. in Luxembourg from 2007 until 2010 and Executive Director and member of KBL Group Executive Committee from 2010 to 2016.
From 2017 to 2021, he was back at Banque Puilaetco Dewaay Luxembourg S.A. (affiliate company of KBL group in Luxembourg) as CEO. On 1st January 2022, the shareholder (Quintet -formerly KBL) decided to integrate Puilaetco Luxembourg into Quintet Luxembourg. Olivier de Jamblinne left Quintet group on the same date.
He has founded OJM Conseil S.A.R.L. (a company which provides Independent Directorships) in 2019 and he runs it now; he is Non-Executive Director of several companies, mainly active in finance or insurance businesses.
Olivier de Jamblinne owns a Degree in Economics I.S.E - U.C.L. (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, 1986).
Alex De Witte
Since 2013, Alex De Witte has been the CEO of Baltisse Real Estate with a focus on both real-estate developments and investments in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Romania, Poland and the US. Baltisse Real Estate is active in several areas of real estate: offices, retail, logistics, facilities for the elderly, hospitality and residences. Alex was also CEO at Pylos Benelux and a manager at Bouwfonds (Rabobank) and Allfin (precursor of Immobel).
Alex obtained a master’s degree in law from KU Leuven as well as a master’s degree in marketing from Vlerick Business School.
In addition, Alex is a member of several boards of directors and advisory boards both inside and outside the realm of real estate.
